My "Marker" reference...I asked the surgeon "what kind of recovery time am I looking at?" He had an interesting answer " about 12 weeks or thereabouts I usually tell my patients, however, I like to put it as, what event or activity would you like to doing again that would signify to you that you're recovering...in other words, Bob, pick a "marker""
Thought about that for quite a while then my wife said "probably when you can get out for a ride"...she was right

So, 9 weeks later, finally took the Red Baron out for a ride and, to say the least, it was wonderful! Yipee...
Red Baron at Georgian Bay...

Sittin by the Bay....thinking how lucky I am to be doing this again

The "flat stone" beach at Big Bay..Stone skipping Capital of Canada...for you Ozzies we call this sand

By the way, spent many hours on BoxerWorks and other motorbike sites to "while away the days"...its fun and good medicine for recovery. Feeling stronger everyday...and...thank god my family doctor, during my annual physical in March, caught this cancer and my faith in the medical system looking after me in such a professional and timely manner and my wonderful wife, family and friends for their support.
On we go....hope to get a few more miles in yet!
Bob
