Since I parted out my daily rider. The one that I built some 30 years ago and didn't even wear out a set of tires, that daily rider. I am again in need of a bike, a bike to not buy. My real interest is gone, or I woulda been riding my daily rider. Clearly I don't want a bike to ride. I want one to not buy.

Economics isn't an issue, since I won't buy it anyway. The field is wide open.

You could perhaps not buy a Munch Mammoth!

Damn, the field of bikes for you not to buy is pretty wide open. Pretty much every bike out there qualifies. BUT, if you're looking for a single bike for you to rank as the number one bike you're not going to buy, I can't imagine it's not going to be a Harley Davidson. Picking through the different models will still give you some pause, but I think simply looking at the weights of the different models should narrow it down for you.

From my quick research, your winner should be the HD CVO Limited, at 944 lbs. ready to ride.




The Tri-Glide Ultra tops the scales at 1215 lbs,

but I don't personally think a trike qualifies.

Yes, but I have a genuine affection for unloved (and reputed) shitboxes. I would have a shed full of them, if they sold for what they are actually worth. The XS750 was a nice confortable unhurried ride.

I should never have sold my 500 parallel twin.

I have one sharing the garage with my Airhead presently (summer project). Ye gods, it is heavy! Moving the Airhead around the shop after wrasslin' the Yamaha is like moving a bicycle in comparison.

And it makes a lot of rattling chain noises for the brief periods I've heard it run so far. I'm hopeful, though.

It was my neighbor's. He sold it a few years ago to a guy who died soon after. The widow offered it back to him, but as it looks like hell and his back is all jacked up he moved it on to me.
