Well Neil, you've mentioned a few times that you miss the heavy flywheel of the /6 since you let your R90/6 go. You've been living in a void for far too long, so here's your chance. Go for it.

I wonder if the R75/6 has the torque characteristics of the R90/6.

If the add was for an 1976 R90/6, with a dual disc set up in that condition, and mileage, I would be definitely be calling @ that price.

That's a fake---BMW hasn't done an air-cooled, inline 4. The opposed, flat-twin toaster didn't work out that well, either (my spouse complained that it scattered a lot bread in various directions), so it was discontinued.

I wouldn't go that far. Attending college and consorting with hippies and other unconforming types, I came to challenge authority, if for no other reason than just because.

Of course Toaster BMW''s hadn't been invented then, but if they had been I would likely have called them toasters, if for no reason than I liked the way it rolled off the tongue. And if some self anointed authority had taken me to task I would have told them to "fuck off"! (also an unapproved term)
