My nephew built a 3-wheeler
Re: My nephew built a 3-wheeler
The rear wheel looks like it might not stand up to the task of offroading. If it was mine I'd try to source a solid hub and sidecar tires, or some massive knobbies if he's planning on taking it in the dirt. Like Chuey, I 'd have used an aluminum VW front end.. and made it about 3' shorter.

Yeah, I was thinking that might say more about Rob than it did about Mitch...Garnet wrote:So that leaves you where????????justoneoftheguys wrote:I was really worried about Mitch when he got his first motorcycle, but I've crashed more often and with more damage than he in that time period. I'm just a dumbass that doesn't know enough to keep his eyes on the road in front of him.
I am an example of what not to do.

I get that he's a"Mustang Guy" but he would be able to "go fast" better with a lighter front end. Still, I don't want that to be taken as me saying it's not a cool project. I think it's a very neat undertaking.

Good for him, because Mustang front ends are much more available these days.justoneoftheguys wrote:He's a "Mustang Guy". What can you say, he is young and likes to go fast.Chuey wrote:That's a cool project. Of course, I'd have used a VW front end.
