Ah yes, Rooney Tunes. He's a great BMW engineer. He calls my mechanic in when he needs a very special wrench. In Nimbin we usually only know everyones first name. My mechanic is Michael Schnerring Sp? and he's one of the best wrenches that has laid hands on my bikes. I saw him at the hotrod/bike show in Lismore yesterday. A beautiful morning to eat steak sandwiches, kick tires and tell lies.

I get Michael to do anything major on my bikes as well even though I have to travel a far distance - Brisbane to Nimbin.

He did a major refresh to my RS earlier in the year. I dropped into Paul Rooney's place a year or so ago. An Aladdin's cave of amazing bikes in the process of development + heaps of 2nd hand airhead parts. Just incredible what he is doing in a workshop under his house.

I recently found that Paul O'Brien in Murwillumbah has BMW training too, he fixed a coil problem Michael didn't seem to be able to solve... so I've got 2 good mechanics close by.
