Mana Road: the wrong way 'round

A fellow named azcycle on the R65 forum inherited a R65 from his father-in-law. It had knobbies on it. They were Kendas.
Yes, it looks like he modified the front fender, and azcycle said he had to replace the rear fender when he mounted street tires because the rear knobby had chewed it up, some.

Good to know. Hmmm, knobbies on a snowflake... that's something you don't see everyday.

Mahalo! Great post! Great pics. I have ridden all over Maui, looks like I need a big island experience. If I lived over there I would ride a dual sport bike as my main ride.

I remember that Bill had to remove his front fender when it clogged up with enough mud to impede the rotation of the wheel.

Been there. When the front wheel stops rotating, it is very difficult to steer, and you will most likely fall over.
I was lucky, I had a 3rd wheel and only experienced the "no steering" part!

Nope, ain't gonna happen.... We here in Hawaii are upwind of Oz, and photons may be fast, but they ain't THAT fast!!! :lol:
