This guy's European ride photo diary is one of the greatest ones I've seen on the web....

For only several thousand dollars you too can rent a BMW over there and ride a turn-key route complete with hotels and meals awaiting you.
Plus, you'll have a real-world labyrinth of switchbacks and vistas to take your breath away, such as this shot in the Swiss alps...

That was a good post that one. Why was he so interested in the bathroom design and ceramics I wonder?

Re: Interesting road shots
Back in 2003,I did such a Tour des Alpes with my Dad:
3000km, 22+ passes in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, approx 144,000ft difference in altitude over 7 days (pics are cropped, I though they were autosized):

Some of the above is fact, some is fiction, some is my personal imagination and some is just simple truth. [me]

Re: Interesting road shots
Are there a lot of police speed traps on those alpine passes, or does mother nature simply take care of those that over cook it?

Re: Interesting road shots
Can't talk about the passes, but the small towns in Austria will often have speed cameras close to the restriction signs on the outskirts.
We were forewarned by friends that did a similar (driving) trip to us a few years back. They kept receiving "performance rewards" in the mail for months after returning home!
When you get to the sign, do what it says!

Did this one in July... on a Zinda 110cc (China Honda). Dropped nearly 6,000' in less than 20km. Between Da Lat and Nha Trang Vietnam

Brilliant sweepers... the odd bus overtaking uphill around corners though, and the same road not much further along. Yeah, I got some more occy straps,
