Re: BMW touring panniers 3d key printing.

I'm pleased to report I've had some success. A Yale ya27 blank from a locksmith had a similar profile to Rob's 057 key and after some grinding and filing I got it to open both a 057 and 054 lock. Unfortunately the width of the "tab" was a bit thin and snapped off! Fortunately you informed ...

Re: BMW touring panniers 3d key printing.

Thanks Rob and Steve Would one of you be able to supply me with the dimension indicated in the attached? My plan is to try and buy a blank from my local locksmith as a starting point and then start whittling away at it to match Rob's 057 photo in the hope that the tolerances are that slack they will...

Re: Krauser panniers 1991

Rob Can you send me a photo of your 057 key beside a ruler for dimensions as per your post below. I will try and fashion one myself. Thanks Mike "As it happens, one of my sets uses 057 keys but I only have one so I'm not able to supply it. If I can help with pictures or measurements, let me kno...

Re: Krauser panniers 1991

Hi Rob
Can I take you up on your offer. A photo of your 057 key alongside something for scale would be useful and might enable me to manufacture one. Similarly if anyone has a 054 key can they supply me with the same.
Regards
Mike

Re: Krauser panniers 1991

Thanks chaps, some great info there. Based on this I can confirm I do have the BMW touring panniers. I searched what I thought was every inch of the latches but couldn't find the codes. Now I know they are 054 for the top latches and 057 for the latches that attach to the frame. I'll try and search ...

Krauser panniers 1991

Hi I have an R80 with original panniers but no key 😔 That makes them pretty useless. The lock type is the one with the small rectangular cover. Replacing 6 locks would cost me over £200. I can't find a locksmith that will make a key without a copy, I notice from previous posts that the S150 key fits...

Re: R80 1991 monolever - dual seat cowl

Thanks Rob Having seen a few pictures of R80s online the cowl top seems very square whereas the seat I've got looks like it has a cut-out for a more rounded shape. Here is an example for sale on ebay https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/IO0AAeSwGutn4Y2Y/s-l960.webp I will try contacting the seat seller as...

R80 1991 monolever - dual seat cowl

Hi All I'm recommissioning the above bike which was converted to a single seat by the previous owner. I want to convert it back to dual seat and have purchased an aftermarket one which I suspect is a bit different to the original since clearly it needs a rear cowl. Looking online it seems there are ...
