Anybody know the specific model number for this year? Got one from a '79 and it's a couple inches short, see image.

Presumed it would fit given the description (1979 BMW R65 R 65 80 90 Airhead S314-1 Clutch Cable) but you know what they say about assumptions...seems I'll never learn.

Bike is looking better these days though, seat & subframe from Vonzetti & trimmed some weight by taking off the fenders.

From RealOEM, a 1984 R65 (not LS) takes a 1495mm cable. Part no. is 32731237694. Generally, cables are the best from a dealer IMO.
