Asking for help

This post came in from the slash 2 forum on Yahoo. I was born there, but have been long gone. I knew Leroy as a customer. We have one or two people in this group from Wichita. Can you help?

I picked up a 1960 R60 with a factory BMW sidecar from an estate sale in '08. I'm trying to find a bit of history on the PO who was the only owner. His Name was, James R McDougal. Lived in South Haven, KS. He purchased the machine new with sidecar 08/23/1960 for $1595.00. In His log book it lists Leroy's Cycle Sales in Wichita, KS.I don't know if that's the dealer he purchased it from, assume it was? If anyone from Wichita or the surrounding area has knowledge of Leroy's Cycle, or James McDougal I'd appreciate that info. The last entry in the log was 7/04/1970. The last registration sticker was 1973 when, I guess, the motor seized and the way I received it. It probably sat in the barn from ' 73 until '08 when I got it. The machine was in rough shape but, I'm getting it back on the road. Not doing a resto just making sure it's mechanically sound and leaving the 54 years of character on it. It would be great to have a bit more history to go with the machine.
Thanks, Frank.
