That can happen in a couple of days. I've had them on my jacket before as well, kinda looked like a row of war medals.
The wasps can make the strangest noises when they build their nest? in tin cans etc. They have a built in 'concrete vibrator' to settle the mud.

Some years ago when living in the country, I kept the bike parked in a barn. One day while riding into town on the /7 and doing about 60mph, there was a momma mouse with will all her babies clinging on for dear life that bailed out of the left fairing pocket. She scampered over the dash of the fairing then took a flying leap into the abyss down the front forks. Scared the !@#$ out of me, for a sec or two. :)
No, I didn't stop to check on them.

A friend here on the island had an 8" long centipede bite him on the top of his head while riding. He managed to get the helmet off before he stopped, only to see it crawl down into the gap between the seat and tank. Took awhile poking and prodding around before he got back on and rode it home...
