This pic was wednesday afternoon, not long before the sun hit the deck.
The day had been heavily overcast and windy and rainy all day.
At the very end of the day I saw the sky had completely cleared way off to the west, leaving a very narrow band of blue sky stretching from south to north.
I knew that I was in for a brief, super display from mother nature when the sun fell into that strip of blue, just before, and just after disappearing below the horizon.

This shot was taken this morning, showing the project I'm working on at the moment.
Moments after I took this photo, a crimson rosella (aussie birdy) flew at full speed straight into the reflection..............woops!
The bird was with 5 or 6 others that flew low across the pool and down into the valley beyond.
My pools are intended to be nature friendly, what have I done!

Now that's a sunset pic to frame Jeff! They have been awe inspiring up here in the flatlands too. I look left on my long commute home, about 5:30pm, the sky is all orange and sheep are casting 50 foot shadows.

Again with the cloudy water. Is that an algae bloom or what?

Difficult to say Native, seems the only days I have clear water is on cloudless days. :?:

This was my project over summer.
It's fun to play with reflections and rotations.

Does anybody in Oregon make pools like yours, or do I have to make my own? Unfortunately the best spot is where the drain field probably is. Bad juxtaposition.

There are some builders in the US Ed but not many, at least I don't see them advertising on the net.
Total Habitat is the only name I know of.
If you wanted to build your own I could help with the design and show lots of construction photos. free

The pool liner I use is made by Firestone, and would be readily available in the states.
Most of the components I use are easy to obtain, so I don't need to rely on an overseas company for highly priced 'bits'
