Dunno, but I found a great picture googling it.
Scroll down to page 69.

Seems to describe the 1981 R100 engine....but the pics in gspd's response don't match that!

Right behind the A10 is "259O". That's a type 259 engine, ie, Oilhead. So, it's a part in the exhaust system of an oilhead.

I dunno about the R100 engine with the pull-start in the diagrams, but I have seen pictures of a water pump used in fire-fighting that was powered by an oilhead engine.

If it could be fitted, suddenly lawnmowing would be a much more worthwhile activity!

Yeah...the A10 is mentioned in Falloon's book, but the fiche pix don't match the R100 at all.

I saw a photo somewhere on the net of a Oilhead engine powered water pump used for fire protection. This was a factory build unit, not something cobbled together.
The air/oil cooled engine did not look like the best chose of an engine for the pump, but someone thought it would work.

its not a R259 motor.
it takes 716 1000cc head gaskets, is a 2 valve head & has screw on exhaust nuts. somewhere new airhead motors are running...
