Metal? Plastic? Flexible? Is it the same width all the way around or does it look like it curves to a rounded point on each end? Maybe another picture/angle...

its curved and has some holes in it for mounting to something I guess? Its more squared off on the ends. Its metal, not flexing steel. gimme a bit & i'll post another pic.

Note: I haven't a friggin clue

My first impression was that it must relate to a fairing somehow, but that's all I've got, and it's only an impression from a picture.

Well I'm the proud owner of both a 9 (windshield mounting) hole and 7 hole fairing, but I don't have a friggin clue either, other than to think that it ain't a part that fits one of my fairings.

My own cluleless guess is something that fits a Luftmeister turbocharger installation.

Could it be a heat shield for a turbo pipe?

... there is no such thing as a "heat shield for a turbo pipe"
listed in the Luftmeister catalogues individually
or as part of the turbo "kit".

So, you have some Lufmeister packaging, but no Luftmeister part number?

If so, is there any chance the part was never originally packaged in that Luftmeister package?
