Wouldn't it read better as: "Don't let my safety interfere with your phone call"?

You know, it is illegal in California to be on a hand held phone. Still, there are about ten percent of the drivers I see on hand held phones. There was an editorial in a newspaper I saw. The author was congratulating the Calif. legislature, maybe Jerry Brown, the governor, himself, that they had resisted increasing the fines for hand held phone tickets. His logic was that tickets are getting out of hand, money wise. I would like to see it increased to where the car is taken away and the driver license is revoked for at least four years. Then, we would see a reduction in hand held car phoning. Texting, blow up the car on the spot and never drive again. I don't see this as cruel or unusual, but an attempt to remove a totally unnecessary risk factor from the roadways.

Same law in BC with about the same compliance rate. Some people are just too importanat to not be on the phone.

I think the phone ban has made it more dangerous as people now hold their phones down i their lap whilst texting, so they are even more distracted.

Or the government could automatically draft them into Army ground forces and ship them off to the Middle East to protect "our" oil.

No lube in this case.

I'm not saying I'm a marketing genius or anything, but if the "appropriate orifice" system ever gets in place, you could make a tidy sum by marketing "pre-lubed cell phones" for those who decide that their phone call is more important that others' safety.
