The Douglas Model A went on sale in 1907

with a fore and aft mounted horizontaly opposed engine. That layout remained in prodution till the Model 80, which is in Steve's pic, came out in the late 40s.

That is a
VERY pretty bike , I wish they had made them in a 500 ,the same with the Velo Valiant.They gave the game to BMW .
I'd love to own one !
