Photobucket has some editing capability. What others also have that?

Is there one that's considered the best choice?

I've not used Photoshop too much, but find the limited edit function useful in Photobucket. It's usually all I need.

I use Webshots to store a video or two, and a few hundred R100RS pictures. It doesn't have much of an edit function and I can't seem to add text either. I might move them all over to Photobucket, but wouldn't mind trying others favourite sites either.

I picked up a copy of Photoshop on eBay several years ago for $10. New, in the package (just a CD sleeve), but totally licensed and with the really long key code on the back and everything. I can't tell you which version it is ( a really low number, like v 0.7 or something) but there is more to it than I will figure out in my lifetime.

I also have a book (used from abeBooks) to teach me the stuff. It is called "Rick Sammon's Complete Guide to Digital Photography," 107 Lessons on taking, Making, Editing, Storing, Printing, and Sharing Better Digital Images.
A virtual friend recommended it to me 4 years ago. With it, I've been able to make fine images like this, to help me when I was swapping out engines:

Me too.
As a stand alone photo editing software, Photo-Shop would likely be the obvious 1st choice,
but editing tools will be like mechanics tools –
certain ones will be best for certain tasks, and, well, the more the merrier.

P-bucket editing, on the other hand, provides a relatively well thought out range of basic tools –
AND IT'S FREE to use !

In conjunction with other photo editing software,
P-bucket editing will likely have the ability to extend the editor's range of capability and creativity.
I will sometimes use Photo-Shop, Illustrator, I-Photo, and P-bucket to edit / reconstruct a photo ...
Each has tools that, if not exclusive and unique, may at least be more simply and elegantly employed to the task.
