I have never seen a BMW Kompressor exactly like this one before ...
thought I'd share it here:

Early ram air. I wouldn't think they'd need that on a kompressor bike. Quite the megaphone too.

Yes. Most of the length of the header as well as the meg is tapered,
and then look at the area behind the curve coming off the exhaust port ...

Is that a BMW or perhaps a Zundap?

I think it is Ernst Hennes bike, with the left side panel removed to show the turbo. Notice, you can't see through above the engine, because the right side panel is still there.

Well, the megs are shaped differently ...a few other details that don't jive ...
but it IS purportedly a Henne bike (from the info available) ...
perhaps just an iteration of it that is rare in photos and documentation ???
I mean, who knows what change-ups were made and how often, eh ?

So what do you think the funny shape in the curve of the exhaust pipe was? Just extra quick scavenge for the gasses? Maybe is it like an expansion chamber.
