Gearbox neutral switch...

Anyone know the proper torque for installing a new one? (My Haynes manual doesn't list it)
A socket won't fit over the terminals. Do you bend them temporarily out of the way? (Don't have a crowsfoot)
OR
Use a regular spanner, new crush washer, and a "smart" wrist as a torque wrench?

You got it dougie...that "smart" wrist technique is the way. Just don't overtighten or you'll be putting another one in. Its tempting but snug is enough ...good luck! And regular wrench.

I have had problems with leaking even with a new washer and now use hylomar on the sealing surfaces and have had no leaks since.
Leaks bug me as much as anyone, so I made a fitting that a neutral switch and a air hose fitting can screw into, so the switch can be tested for leaking.

I will try that Steve, I have something similar to Hylomar.
