I'd like a leather version but the leather Belstaffs are beyond ridiculous in price !

Is there a First Gear version ?
Ok -
I have a great hein gericke motorcycle black two piece with reflective piping. I love it. not too waterproof but for temperate climates, it is perfect. The make the first gear stuff. I bought the suit for less than 300 two years ago from Motorcycle superstore . I have used mink oil on it and it looks brand new even after some longer rides. If I think it is going to fog, rain or snow, I wear the darian uniform.

That's nice Sibbo. Does the waxing make it waterproof?

One would hope so. It's certainly not going to make it more breathable.

Not good for the Summer but not much is over here, a bit like riding in a Florida Summer ? I pour water down my front and get an unsafe level of ventilation, a small PET bottle 375 ml ? is good for about 30 miles .

Major Softie wrote:It looks very good, ZM. It doesn't have the ventilation of my leather, but up in your climate, it would probably be very nice. I'd like it around Tahoe, but, even with the claimed cooler performance, I like ventilation when I get off the hill and down into Sacramento and Reno. Mine has chest, arm, and back vents - big ones.
What leather do you wear?

A little older version of this one:

Mine has a little different front vents, larger rear vents, and scoop vents in the arms. Also my vents are perforated leather and this newer one has mesh in the vents. The only problem with the scoop vents is that they are very close to the cuffs so they don't work at all with any gauntlet on your gloves.

Mine also has a button over flap that covers the zipper. Apparently there have been a lot of different versions of the Scout.
