Re: Late Grabby Clutch Engagement
Thanks for the tip Rob.
I've yet to get to the clutch spline lube.
When I do I should check out the throw out bearing as well.
Cheers,

Re: Late Grabby Clutch Engagement
Thanks for the welcome Airbear, cheers :-) ...increased free play has indeed helped ...and yes google has also advised on transmission input splines. But Lord of the Bings has actually hit on my real motivation for joining up here...It is in truth to ask questions and be told to google it...nothing ...

Re: Muffler Recommendation?
Hey Rob, thanks for the input and checking out my link. There's a Harley across the street form me and my next door neighbor has a Yamaha with straight pipes ...so my block is already loud with bikes...no worries there. Mostly looking for my own satisfaction. Maybe it's silly to spend $150 on a pipe...

Re: Muffler Recommendation?
Thanks for the ideas guys, much appreciated.
Thinking of trying this budget model out.
If they suck I can move onto something else.

Re: Late Grabby Clutch Engagement
Thanks for all the replies folks, much appreciated. Think I'll give it a bit more free play to see if that helps. The transmission input splines I'm sure could use attention, I'll do that either way. Yes, the bike has been stored for some time; that'd be awesome if things improved with more use! Che...

Muffler Recommendation?
Hi all,
Recently bought a 1978 R60/7.
It came with straight pipes.
Its a bit silly how loud it is.
Any recommendations on aftermarket mufflers?
Looking for something with a nice throaty tone.
Thanks for any comments.

Late Grabby Clutch Engagement
Thanks for reading. Recently purchased a 1978 R60/7 42k miles. Despite good clutch adjustment (202mm gearbox to cable barrel & 2mm free play at lever), the clutch engages very near the end of travel (almost completely released). When it does engage it feels sudden and hard. Is this a familiar sy...
